History of MRL Group

MRL Group was founded in 1997 as Microscape Recruitment Ltd. Our initial focus was providing specialist recruitment services within the niche European microelectronics industry. As the first specialist semiconductor recruitment company to set up in the UK with such a niche focus, we rapidly achieved great success and a position of European pre-eminence.

With the onset of the technology recession in 2001, we realised that we needed to build a larger, more diversified business that would not be exposed to localised market turmoil or industry specific recessions. With this in mind, the business was structured in the following way:

2004

• We opened of our first international office in Munich, Germany.

2005

• Microscape changed its name to MRL Group and the Technology division was rebranded as MRL Technology.

2006

• The first Middle Eastern office opened in Dubai, UAE.

• Our southern European office opened in Sophia-Antipolis, France.

2008

• MRL Energy was created to serve the emerging Energy markets.
  

• MRL Contracting was launched to provide contract and interim services to MRL's client base.

• Our second German office opened in Dresden.
  
  

Due to continued success and structured growth, MRL Group is not only able to serve the Technology, Financial and Energy markets but also able to offer clients a range of international offices which span 3 continents. This growth and development means MRL Group is well placed to build further upon our early successes, growing an international brand that lives up to our motto - recruiting excellence.
